This year began in style with a Champagne reception sponsored by Affilinet before the great and the good in performance marketing celebrated the years achievements with the host of the evening, up and coming comedian Kevin Bridges. The evening then ran on into the early hours thanks to Digital Window after party in  the Cube Nightclub, especially created for the a4uAwards.

The successes of the evening went to VoucherCodes.co.uk who swept the board with Best Lead Generation Campaign, Best Retail Publisher and Best Travel and Leisure Publisher, as well Existem Affiliate Management who once again took the award for Best Agency in Affiliate Marketing, not to mention Affililiate Window taking home Best Account Manager and Best Affiliate Network in the Community Choice Awards.

The a4uAwards are very excited to announce that this years a4uAwards ceremony will be presented by up and coming  young comedian, Kevin Bridges

Kevin Bridges,  named as Scotland’s “Young comedy prodigy” (Guardian), has had an extraordinary 12 months. With a 2009 Edinburgh Fringe Festival sell out run and an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination for Best Newcomer under his belt, plus star appearances on Live at the Apollo (BBC ONE), Have I Got News For You (BBC ONE) and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala at the 02, 2010 is fast becoming Kevin’s year.

Kevin continues his astonishing rise to prominence this Spring as he embarks on his debut solo national tour. The UK tour, which includes 11 dates around Scotland, will end with a bang when Kevin performs a landmark homecoming gig in front of 10,000 fans at Glasgow’s SECC Arena on Friday 28th May, only a few weeks before he takes on the Affiliate Marketing industry at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel on the 9th June.

The team are thrilled to have Kevin as our guest presenter and are looking forward to watch him integrate himself with the great and good of our industry.

The Community Choice Awards shortlists have been released today for this year’s a4uAwards, which shows how the consumer demand for savvy spending is reflected in this year’s shortlist.

Publishers who are vying to answer consumer need for the best information and access to prices, deals and sales online are viewed as some of the top sites in the industry according to this year’s a4uAwards shortlisted Publisher of the Year Award.

Quidco, VoucherCodes.co.uk, TopCashback and ShopStyle are all in the running for the coveted award, alongside Skimlinks which scored a hat trick in last year’s awards for its simplified affiliate marketing technology.

The award, which is ironically sponsored by another key shopping destination site, eBay, is one of five Awards in this year’s a4uAwards line-up which are judged by the Affiliate Marketing community through the channel’s hub affiliates4u.com in a two-stage open nomination and voting process.

Matthew Wood, founder & organiser of the annual a4uAwards, says:

“These five awards are the truest reflection of what’s happening in our industry as they are voted entirely by those working in it. Sometimes contentious, there’s always a few surprises each year and it looks like this year will be no exception!”

The shortlist for Best Affiliate Marketing Network includes Affiliate Window, affilinet, AffiliateFuture, Commission Junction, LinkShare and Paid On Results, whilst Affiliate Window and its newly-embraced buy.at team also feature in the Best Account Manager at a Network category shortlist.

Elsewhere, the industry’s view on who performs the top account management role includes a range of individuals who although may not hold the actual job title of Account Manager, are very much seen as the first point of call for Publishers. In the running are Anne Budden and James Little from Affiliate Future, Helen Collins from affilinet, Darren Newmark from LinkShare and Aga Marchewka, Chantal Williams and Julie Wood from the Digital Window teams.

The final round of voting opens to affiliates4u.com members on Monday March 22, with the winners announced at this year’s a4uAwards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on June 9, 2010.

The final submission deadline for the judged awards is the 19th of March. Table bookings are coming in fast so for the best positions within the great room book a table today.
